Comment by Dave on January 30, 2012 at 2:59pm While the courses will vary depending on what learning style suits you best, my philosophy is that every course is going to teach you essentially the same material. And they have to, otherwise the poor performing courses would cease to exist as nobody would buy their product. The point I'm trying to make is that no matter which course you choose, it is ultimately up to you to put in the time and effort to learn the material and prepare yourself for the exam; no course can do the learning for you. Put in the time and effort, and you will pass the exam.
Have you looked into any specific courses yet? If not, here are some of the top names to get you started: Becker, Yaeger, Roger, CPAExcel, Gleim, and Wiley, in no particular order. If you click the "Discounts" link at the top of the page you can see what discounts are available through CPA Exam Club.
Good luck!
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
– Theodore Roosevelt, speech before the Hamilton Club, Chicago (April 10, 1899)
