Making Adjustments & The 50th Law

I happen to be reading a book called "The 50th Law" by Robert Greene & 50 Cent (yes the rapper). It talks about taking situations in your life and looking at them as opportunities. I have not worked since 2008 when it became increasingly harder. I already spoke about how I was diagnosed with Kidney Disease earlier back in 2002 and recently received a transplant. Well, with all that behind me, I decided now is the perfect time to study for the CPA Exam. Low and behold, after having been searching for employment over a year now, I have received two calls this week. This week happens to be my first week of studying for the CPA exam as well.

I seriously considered not taking a job. In fact, one I did ignore. However, I have decided to not look at this as a disadvantage. I have a severe problem with focus.  I now see having a job and studying at the same time as an advantage. A job is exactly what I need to be focused. My advice for us all is to look at every situation that arises and find the opportunity.
