Well, I am officially half way done with the CPA exam!  I passed AUD and BEC.  Just have REG and FAR left.  As I approach my second busy season of the year (school's going to be back in session - and so will the school board audits), I am trying to find the best way to tackle these exams.  I took my first busy season off from studying and just focused on keeping track of what was going on with each of my clients.  As I have one busy season under my belt, I hope that studying for these last two sections will be not be exceptionally difficult.  I think I have come up with some ways to manage my time better, such as setting up a study plan before I begin studying.  This way I will be able to keep myself on track, rather than just studying whenever.  If i set small goals for each day, I am hoping that I will be able to feel less pressured and feel a sense of accomplishment each and every day.  I do think it is important that I factor in some "down" time.  I've learned that you can't just go, go, go without stopping.  Not only will you not retain as much as you need to, but it's mentally and physically exhausting!  I like to read about what other people do to study.  It's always interesting to see the different ways that people function the best, and the tips that everyone is kindly willing to offer to those who are still in the process of studying.  I hope the next time I write I will be happy with where I am in my studies.  Either way, I plan to write on how my progress is going.  Until next time!
