Today I will be finishing up the Wiley exam review. Tomorrow I will begin my review, checking all of the missed questions, questionable topics, and looking for other test questions. A part of this first time through the material was needed to fill in the gaps. Since I only took 30 hours of accounting, there were a few things I didn't take in college. Gift and estate taxation and exempt organizations were a couple of them.

I did have the advantage of working an tax preparation internship so I was very familiar with individual taxation. I also picked up a little on trusts, gifts and the handling of oil and gas.

One of the things that would have been handy to know at that time was UDITPA when trying to resolve state taxes paid on royalties, for example.
