your CPA Exam journey...
When you say you want to become a Certified Public Accountant it seems that everyone thinks that it is something you simply do, like passing the Drivers License Exam. In a way, I think that you begin to feel that way yourself. It was not until I began studying for the exam in these past two weeks that I realized that this thing is beast. A couple weeks in and I am starting to get the rhythm of it all. I am not exactly there, but I feel like I am so close. Recently, I said to myself, "Hey, this is just like any cool Professor that tells you exactly what to study for on the exam and in how much detail to cover the topic." Each year the AICPA presents us with a CSO/SSO listing each topic on the exam, we have our old textbooks that go over the topics thoroughly, we have our countless professor's voices in our head, and we have great programs such as Yaeger CPA Review and Wiley Test Bank. I realize now that I have to get into the rhythm of using all these things already given me to conquer this beast. It may seem insurmountable, but we have the tools before us in clear daylight and we have the exam's weak spot exposed- the CSO/SSO. I guess all that is left now to do is find our rhythm and dance.

I needed to hear that this morning as I am sitting at the library gazing at my laptop saying "not again".
Now I am saying - Y E S ! ! !
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
