Michael commented on CPAnet's group STUDY GOAL ROLL CALL!I totally agree!! I found out on Friday my license was issued and I'm now official! I am so glad that journey is over. Although I will say, sometimes I'm not sure what I should be doing in my free time now.. But again, thank you - that last week before my exam you were my biggest motivation - you had posted that you passed and I thought I had to pass this time too. So thanks! Good luck with everything. Can you apply for your license yet or do you have to meet the experience requirement yet? Luckily I've been here 11 years and had all of that..
Hi Michael, how r u doing? I really need some advise. I have a couple of weeks before my Regulation exam. I see that u have passed Regulation and r using Yaeger and Wiley just like i am. Can u please tell me how did u tackle Business law? Did u study for ALL the chapters and did all the questions?? Did the enormous amount of information confuse u? How many times did u go over the chapters and test bank? I am having trouble with business law. Its all fine until i came to Sales and its so intense. So many scenarios in questions, i get lost as to what concept they r testing on. Please please any advise on how u studied for Business law, how many hours or weeks did it take? Thank you so much
Hi Michael thank you so much for your advise. Good luck on the next one :)
Hi Michael, could you please tell me how long did you study for FAR, and how many times did you go over all the questions and any study tips? I'm planning to take BEC or FAR next after REG. Thanks, Hope your celebrating!! :)
I agree - I really like Gary's style - there's some emotion there which makes you remember stuff. I like Phil - he has his quirks which make him original. But they are not obnoxious like the guys from Becker. What a waste of money that was. REG is not going to well. I too work at a firm and have been doing returns for 11 years but alot of the calculations are done by our software (AMT, etc) so I've never worried about that. But the biz law is killing me. My exam is next Wed (the 29th) and I will be at the library every day til then - I have to pass this one. REG was the only one I passed on the first try but lost when I couldn't pass AUD. I just want to be done!
Hi Michael, How are you? Which exam did you just sit for? I see you have passed Reg. Can u please give me any advise on studying for it and how the exam is. I'm taking it soon and very nervous. I'm a Yaeger student as well. The taxation portion has so many laws for each small section and so much to memorize that it gets so overwhelming. How did u manage to remember everything? Thank you
Addy said… Best wishes tomorrow... you can do this!!!!
Addy said… @Micheal, just saw your question on whether I felt ready or not. This was my 3x taking this exam so the information was "in" there. I do remember going through some MCQ and forgetting the exact formula though. When I walked into Prometrics, I felt calm and just wanted it to get it done. Although I did have slight anxiety the week leading up to the test.
Side note: The 2nd time I took my exam I was very stressed and overwhelmed by the information. I felt unprepared and wished I had more time to go through the info. My score was a 73... so close but not close enough. :( I should've passed... sigh.
WHATEVER YOU DO..... STAY CALM AND BREATH!!!!
Hey, and you've passed Reg already! You can kick this one's booty too!!! Seriously... :)
Astrid Jaime said… Hi.... Well, I am behind. If I loose pace is really difficult to find my way back to the books. These Bonds are taking me forever, they took so long with Yaeger. Anyway I'm trying to take it the last week of August. If I can't then I'll take it first day in October. Is not right to let a lot of time pass otherwise you'll begin to forget what you have already studied and I don't have time for that.
Enjoy your days off, take some rest, have fun and forget a little all this study madness. You took REG these days, right??? How did it go?? Hope it went well, wish you the best!!! Take care!!!
