Which is the most difficult topic in BEC?
segregation of duty
@ Michael - thanks! I gotta get back into the swing of things with studying. I have about 5 weeks and I'm only halfway through chapter 1. Too much stuff going on. How was the test, anything I should focus on? I always get that i'm stronger in the SIMS so I'm not worried so much about them.
@Kristin - I just re-took BEC saturday. Got a 74 in November. I have a terrible feeling I'll be taking it again in May after tax season. Best of Luck to you!
Taking BEC of the 3rd time Feb 25th. Hopefully this will be my last test and then I will be a CPA. Took AUD for the 2nd time on Saturday. Already passed REG and FAR. REG expires May 2012.

could anyone tell me how extensive was he COSO part tested for BEC ?
Cleared BEC with 79. 3 down in 2 windows. Scheduled Audit in February 2012.
Well I took FAR and AUD this week! I'm scheduled for BEC and REG in January and February. I've heard the REG is rough and BEC written part can make or break you. Any advice or tips in my studying for BEC?
You know I can't recall that much, I know it was only a month ago, but REG blocked most stuff out. What I do recall is that there was about 3-4 MCQ's that come right out of REG material, I'm not sure if those are practice or not (sadly no breakdown of performance on passing). I don't recall seeing much in the way of IT on the test, or at least a lot less than I was warned about, but everyone's test is different.
For tips I would say: at least do some practice essays, those can make or break your score. Given I got a 77, I probably scored high on the essay and that's probably the only reason I passed. As I said, I can't see the breakdown of performance, but I felt pretty good about the essay section.
Otherwise I'd say do a lot of MCQ's (Wiley test bank is great for that - plus easy place to practice essays) and stay calm. I was much calmer during BEC then I was during AUD and FAR and I think the fact I failed those two speaks volumes on to the level of nervousness and rushing. Hopefully that made sense. If I can think of anything else I'll post it! :) Good luck to everyone and hopefully you all get to join in on the I passed a section of the CPA exam dance.
