Comment by Michelle Morris on July 1, 2012 at 8:53pm i take the BEC on Tuesday, trying to go into overdrive now, spent the day writing out essay questions from all subjects. tomorrow is last day of working questions. using Wiley, its so much info. costing and econ are my worst, praying for mostly IT and fin mgmt. wish me luck!
Syed I Rizvi - I hope you pass, so much work you have done. I am older and have been told it is not so important for me to get the CPA. It is different if you are young and have a whole long career before you. I am going to keep trying as long as my Becker program lasts, but I won't pay to renew it if I haven't passed the exams and it expires.
I wonder Madhavilatha, when you order your exams do you only order 1 at a time, pay the extra fee to order each time. I was told to order them all 4 at one time in order to pay the order fee only once. But of course there was not enough time in 6 months to prepare for 4 exams! Though I know two persons who did pass one after another within a 6 month period. I now realize that they were exceptional. So I was able to take AUD and BEC, but I failed them both. I am preparing to retake AUD first, so need to reorder the exam again. When you need to retake and retake it gets expensive. Do you only order one at a time?
Comment by Madhavilatha on July 1, 2012 at 2:12pm thank you colleen Z. I will surely look in to it...how is your study going on?
I took my BEC exam today after studying for months. I used Becker and Yeager. I am not sure, if I pass or not. It was my 4th attempt and most probably last. I am ready to move on. I have a master in Accounting and Finance. I think, CPA is not crucial for me at this point. Any suggestions ?
Found this for you....not sure if it helps: http://www.ehow.com/how_6578427_calculate-geometric-average-return....
Comment by Madhavilatha on June 25, 2012 at 7:19pm can any one tell me the exact formula to calculate geometric average return?
Yes, I am using Becker and also Yeager too. I started my revision already.
I think for BEC you need to read the book more then you do problems. Becker problems I know by heart but problems from Free CPA review, I had a hard time do it. That's where I realized I need to read the several time and I can see the different after reading several times.

As of now its good. But once weekend comes its worse so I know I have to schedule it well. I am trying hard to keep up the pace...

Comment by Madhavilatha on June 22, 2012 at 9:57am Hello Amina
I started studying in the month of June. I am planning to give the exam at the end of Aug. Just before the window closes. I gave one reading and noted the topics where I have to put more stress. Now I am studying it in detail and throughly. Once I finish this, I will start practicing Wiley CD MCQs and SIMS. This is how I go. I know its lot but take it slowly. probably 2 modules a week.Good Luck to you too..
