Just received my score 467 in FL. Not only did I not pass I even dropped my score by 5 points. Ughh.. such a long journey and I was so hoping to be done with Audit. I think I may try to test again in April.. not sure. I have got to pass ASAP! Good luck to all other waiting for scores.

Hi All, I am planning my study for AUD and schedule it in April. Could anyone tell me how they study and how many hours they put into each week? THanks!

Hi Madhavilatha,

The SIMs did seem to concentrate on decision tables; if/then scenarios. I would particularly study scenarios to determine when control risk, sampling risk, and/or inherent risk are being affected. The best way I know how to do this is just do as many SIMs as possible, over and over again, and to understand the basic differences  in the audit risk model.

Hello Kirsten Keller,

where can I get more info about decision tables? In the Wiley text book, at many places its been mentioned that we have to study in detail about certain sections, only outlines of those sections were mentioned. Do we have to really put more concentration on them or is it ok if we are through with the outlines given in the book?

Anthony, I used Yaeger which comes with a Wiley book and access to a Wiley database for practice testing and I passed AUD my first try with an 80. I'd say they are pretty good materials.

I had a few months between my last test and this one so I was shooting for as close to 100hrs as I could. Lunch everyday for 30 days (30 hrs). Half and hour to an hour each night after the house winds down (15-20 hrs) and around 6-8 hr each weekend (30ish). Plus I was taking the Becker class in Tampa so that's an extra 20 hours of lecture time over the whole section.. I really hope I can pass this time.. I was only a few points away first go around!

I didn't realize it was still taking so long to get the scores. I guess I was lucky last Nov when I tested the last day of the window and got my score in less than a week!

@ Darren - the clock starts ticking the day you pass the first test, so since you took BEC in April, the clock started in April.  I had the same thing in November 2010.

@ Anthony - I recently took audit for the 2nd time.  I am an auditor for the non-profit industry and I studied a 1-2 hours a night and usually half the day on saturday and all day until (until the giants play).  Hopefully I passed.  Now I'm trying to study to take BEC for the 3rd time - smack in the middle of tax season where I work with real estate entities.

And another much time is everyone spending studying for their audit exam. I'm feeling swamped on certain days of the week, so I can't imagine getting in 2 hours each night of the week plus weekends. I can see myself giving it 10 hours max and I'm re-taking the exam. I scored 69% (down from 74%) in October and I REALLY REALLY want to pass..!!! Thanks!

Hey - does anyone here have some input in how good the Wiley test materials are? I am using Bisk and I have come "close" to passing Audit but I think I need some additional resources....and what do you recommend, the software or the book?
